Jessica flung her arm around Tiffany’s shoulder!!!!
I am fangirling right now. They did such a good job this morning! and the interview was very entertaining. I was scared for them to sing live but of course they did amazingly.

Girls Generation on Letterman.
Regis Philbin’s response is hilarious.
I think my computer enjoyed this: it crashed moments after I finished watching it.
I had no idea Girls Generation had landed such big exposure! While The Boys is not my favorite song by them (I prefer their summer stuff, though Run Devil Run was good last year) …they’re my favorite and I’m not afraid to admit it.
edit: zomg! I’m watching the Kelly Show (formerly Regis & Kelly) and Girls Generation is going to be on the show this hour (10am-11am EST)! I’m too excited, such a nice morning surprise! My heart actually leaped. edit of edit: wow they did so well!
New SNSD [collaboration with Intel] “Visual Dreams.”
I love SNSD >__> [don’t read into it…] and even though the video imo has really low production values, as far as throwaway kpop songs go this one isn’t bad, and SNSD just has really great harmonies. I find happy pop songs with good harmonies to be really hypnotizing.
HOWEVER, can booties be over now? you know, ankle boots? and chunky thigh highs? … and those really heinous platform heels a la Angelina Jolie et all while we’re talking about it. Wouldn’t it be nice to see somebody just wear a nice pair of peep toe pumps or something? Simple simple, tired of edgy. It’s like tricking out your car with spinning rims and a gigantic unnecessary wing on the back; your car would look better if it were just sleek and shining. [/curmudgeonly opinion]
Anyway, for the last two days I’ve been locked out of my building when I showed up at work. Great… I am a valued employee at this institution. It’s obvious. :< -eats chocolate and watches SNSD dancing-
This is the new video for SNSD’s “Hoot” which came out last week. I love it, pretty much. And as of last Friday, a good portion of my students already know the dance.
No, not just the Bow-and-Arrow part. The whole video.
Here’s SNSD’s new trailer. I’m actually pretty excited to see the new image.
oh hey, Wondergirls, how’s it going? [the aesthetic…]
What creeps me out about this is that SNSD is all dressed up, right? but the clothes are so little, right? [-cough Konglish cough-] So they look a little like they’re pretending to be children, right? So it… anyway rope-a-dope time.
I as well am excited to see what comes of this. Always excited to see what A++++ groups are doing next. And it looks different enough from what’s going on now to make an A++++ change in Fall’s current tone of offerings.
I mean, am I the only one who whispers “bailamooooos~” whenever that Ga-In song comes on the radio? Let the rhythm take you over. Bailamos. [Enrique Iglesias if you’re too young. Or I’m crazy and this is obscure.]
Ramblings over.
It makes me want to speak Korean even more, because I feel like I’m getting tips of icebergs.
We were playing “Guess Who” and eventually, I got students to volunteer to be the MC [under coercion of chocolate.] To win the chocolate, the volunteer had to successfully get students to guess who they were describing [from a series of pictures.]
Volunteer: [quietly] They are bland, and bright skin, and mall, and shart harr…
Class: … >(
Other student: Whaat the hellll are you talkking abouut
My after lunch class was actually amazing today. Usually it’s total crap because the students are full of food and tired and pretty much, 5th period is the hump they have to get over on the way 8th period and getting to dinner.
But today it was good. I think it was the energy, because 10 minutes before class started about 8 girls came in [half of which I knew as Sophomores last year because they were pretty vocal] and said “Teacher, use computer.” I said ok, because why not. They queued up a new song [must be a B-side] by SNSD and jeeeeezus they knew all of the choreography.
As the rest of the class trickled in they joined them, so at the end I had 10 girls dancing and 35 watching. We were blasting Sorry Sorry by Super Junior [a song everybody knows and can dance to] until my coteacher came and shut it down xD but they were in a good mood after that.
-walking up the steps-
students: HI GINNY TEACHER!!! HI HI!!!
me: hey, students.
students: HI- BYE BYE!!!!”
me: bye. - turns to go back up the stairs-
students: Sowoneul malhae..
me: -WHIP AROUND- >(

STOP STARING AT ME D:
My lolhate embargo on SNSD didn’t last very long. They came out with a new vid/single today and it’s my new… almost favorite song.
I mean… if you’re going to put a damned fugue in your pop song I can’t help but like you.
However, did anybody else notice that the plastic surgery is really starting to show on some members? I don’t know their names but they need to stop.
This video is the big deal on Korean youtube today: a preview of SNSD’s new vid or whatever.
I don’t know about SNSD. I feel like I’m gonna… why not… jump on the female dominated bandwagon of WE HATE THEM BECAUSE THEY’RE PRETTY, just because I’ve never really officially hated anybody for being attractive before and because I really don’t feel either way about them anyway.
I have to practice my INSTANT STORM BEHIND THE EYES face so I can throw it on whenever they are mentioned. Married Korean women currently have a lock on it and I need to open it up.
I like to watch their videos and whatnot, but I mean, the glove was thrown down when “Genie” came out, giving the Korean pronunciation of my name a soundtrack that follows me into and out of every classroom.
