teeheehee. Nobody has ever guessed the correct Asian country in my case. And I’ve gotten “Eskimo?” before. I just went with it. We had a whole conversation about “my people.”
The conclusion is definitely the right one. It’s not racist exactly, just that some people (not always “White” people) don’t quite know what the right way is to approach talking about race, and kudos for trying.
